She says that even young children are eager to learn ballet and that many dancers dedicate their lives to training.

In Northern Ireland, there is still a strong interest in opera and ballet. Petra says that there is an appetite for opera and that shows often sell out, with many people on waiting lists. During the pandemic, only small crowds could attend, but tickets still sold out quickly. Northern Ireland Opera also reports that many productions sell out and that over 100 local singers auditioned for just 30 spots in a chorus development program. Cameron Menzies, the chief executive of NI Opera, says that Chalamet's comments reflect an outdated view and do not match the reality in Northern Ireland, where opera is growing stronger. Petra points out that people often listen to opera without realizing it, and Nicole says ballet is not slowing down. She sees many young children eager to learn, and some of her students have gone on to dance around the world.
