Like Japan, Italy faces existential threat if citizens don’t have more children: Elon Musk
Elon Musk, the renowned entrepreneur and CEO of SpaceX, was the guest of honour at a political festival in Rome, Italy. The festival, known as 'Atreju', was hosted by Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni. Musk, accompanied by his son X Æ A-12, addressed the crowd gathered at the Sant’Angelo Castle.
During his speech, Musk expressed his concern over the declining birth rates in Italy. He urged the Italians to have more children to preserve their culture. He extended his concern to other industrialised nations like Japan and France, warning that their cultures could disappear due to low birth rates. Musk, who is a father to 11 children, two of whom were born through surrogacy, emphasised the importance of creating a new generation.
Musk also commented on the recent departure of advertisers from his social media platform, X. He attributed this to the 'woke mind virus' that he believes is spreading in the US. Despite this, he remained optimistic, stating that it was a temporary issue and that advertisers were already returning to the platform. The Atreju festival, which has been running since 1998, was organised by Meloni’s far-right Brothers of Italy party.
