Belfast's Fleadh Fiesta: Music, Magic, and Family Fun Unite!

Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann, the world’s largest festival of Irish music and culture, is taking place in Belfast for the first time ever. The festival began on Sunday and will continue until the following Sunday, filling the city with music, dance, and excitement. More than 200 events are planned, including concerts, competitions, street performances, and family-friendly activities. The city is expecting hundreds of thousands of visitors, and the streets are alive with the sounds of traditional Irish instruments and singing. The Fleadh is organised by Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann, a group that has been promoting Irish music and culture since 1951. Every year, the Fleadh is held in a different city or town, but this is only the second time it has come to Northern Ireland. The last time was in 2013 in Londonderry, which attracted huge crowds. The Lord Mayor of Belfast says the Fleadh is a great opportunity to show off the city’s culture, history, and hospitality.
