Luiz Oliveira, a small business owner from Nevada, moved to the United States from Brazil in the 1980s. He is concerned about the increasing number of immigrants crossing the southern border. Luiz expressed his frustration, saying, 'How is this happening in America? All these people crossing, it’s an invasion. Luiz worked hard to earn his citizenship in 2012 and feels that it is a privilege. He stated, 'For me to be a US citizen is a privilege, an honour. I love this country. Another supporter, Ben Maurer, is a truck driver from Pennsylvania who is expecting his second child soon. He believes that if Trump were president, his family would be in a better financial situation. Ben shared that his wife had to leave her job because childcare costs were too high. He feels that Trump prioritizes the American economy and workers, saying, 'I feel like [Trump] has a handle on making it about the American economy first and the American worker first. ' Ben hopes that Trump's plans will lead to lower prices and more affordable childcare, which would greatly benefit his family. June Carey, a 70-year-old artist from California, also supports Trump. In her earlier career, she relied on welfare to make ends meet. However, she managed to become self-sufficient and believes that others should do the same. June stated, 'Being on welfare, I saw how it does not work. It creates generations of people who never move on. ' She wants to see politicians create an economy that allows Americans to afford their basic needs without relying on government assistance. June believes that Trump can help achieve this goal, saying, 'The former president runs this country like a business and the more he talks the more I am impressed.
