Animator has dream job working on Hollywood movies

Jude Brownbill, who grew up in the English town of Cheddar, has achieved her dream job as a film animator in Hollywood. As a teenager, Jude was deeply inspired by the movie Toy Story, which sparked her interest in animation. She recalls watching the film at age 13 and being amazed by the way the characters were brought to life. When she was 16 and considering her future career, someone suggested she look into 3D animation. That idea made her think back to Toy Story, and she realized she wanted to be part of creating movies like that.

Today, Jude lives in California and works for Pixar, one of the most famous animation studios in the world. Pixar is known for making hit movies such as Cars, Monsters Inc, Finding Nemo, and Encanto. Jude describes her job as being similar to acting because she has to use words, actions, and emotions to make animated characters feel real. She believes that movies have the power to take people on emotional journeys, and that is a big reason why she loves her work as an animator.

Jude studied 3D computer animation in the UK before moving to the United States to work for Pixar. Over the years, she has contributed to many well-known films, including Soul, Cars 2 and 3, Inside Out, Turning Red, Incredibles 2, The Good Dinosaur, and Brave. Most recently, she served as the animation supervisor for Pixar's latest release, Elio. The film tells the story of a young boy who wants to make friends but ends up being taken by aliens into space, where he is named the leader of Earth. Jude is proud of her journey from Cheddar to Hollywood and hopes her story will inspire others to follow their dreams, just as Toy Story inspired her.
