Councillor Paul Walker, who is responsible for tourism and cultural development, expressed his excitement about the event. He said that Burton is going through many exciting changes, and Canvas of Light is a brand-new way to celebrate the town during the festive season. He believes it is a wonderful opportunity for both residents and visitors to see Burton's landmarks in a completely new light.
The event is expected to bring a boost to the town, especially following the Christmas lights switch-on at Burton Market Place on November 23, which will feature a funfair, music, and fireworks. The Canvas of Light installation will be open from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm each evening, allowing people to enjoy the lights after dark. The organizers hope that the combination of the light trail, festive market, and live entertainment will create a memorable experience for the community. People are encouraged to take photos and share their experiences, helping to showcase Burton in a new and vibrant way.
