In Hull, a new art exhibition is giving adults with learning disabilities a chance to show their creative talents. The exhibition is being held at the Streetlife Museum, thanks to a partnership with CASE Training Services, a charity that supports people with disabilities. CASE Training Services helps people learn new skills and enjoy social activities. The exhibition is called Regeneration and will be open until July 5. Organizers say the show is all about 'empowerment in expression,' which means helping people feel strong and confident by sharing their art.

The exhibition features a wide variety of artwork. There are eight pieces displayed together in one corner, each in a black frame. The art shows different scenes from nature, like flowers, mountains, and rivers, all painted in bright colors. Mark Cooke, the chief executive of CASE Training Services, said that making art has brought out a lot of passion in the people they work with. He believes that everyone can make art in their own way, and he hopes visitors will see that in the exhibition. There are also 'talking tiles' that visitors can press to hear more about the artwork and the artists' stories. Cooke said that the artists are excited to share their journeys and talk about their work.

Pete Vernon, a creative arts teacher at CASE, explained that it is important for the artists to get feedback from the public. He said that while it is good for them to be creative in the classroom, showing their art in an exhibition and hearing what others think makes the creative process even more meaningful. Frankie Hodson, the curator at Streetlife Museum, said the exhibition includes many different types of art, such as sculpture, video, photography, paintings, and portraits. She said the museum enjoys working with different communities and showing off their talents. The exhibition is a celebration of creativity and shows how art can help people with learning disabilities express themselves and connect with others.
