He wants car companies to start making them right away. However, there are some challenges. Right now, only Kei cars that are at least 25 years old can be legally driven in the US. Experts and car fans are not sure if Americans will want to drive such small cars. The US transport secretary, Sean Duffy, said that small cars might not be good for highways but could be perfect for city driving.
