14,000 Screws Unite to Honor WWII Heroes in Stunning Art

A unique piece of art has been created to mark the 80th anniversary of the end of World War Two. This artwork is not a traditional painting or drawing. Instead, it is made entirely from more than 14,000 screw heads. The artist, Darren Timby, who is from Sunderland, designed the piece with help from veteran groups across north-east England. The image features half of Winston Churchill's face and half the face of an unknown soldier, both in black and white. David, who has a slightly graying beard and wears a black top with an RAF symbol, said the care and thought put into the artwork made it special.

Mr Timby explained that it is always satisfying to see people's reactions when they realize the picture is made from screws. He hopes that once the artwork is complete, it will be displayed in a public building in Sunderland or nearby.
