' The victory plan is structured around five main points. The first point is the invitation for Ukraine to join NATO, which would provide a significant boost to its security. The second point focuses on strengthening Ukraine's defense capabilities against Russian aggression, which includes seeking permission from allied nations to utilize their long-range weaponry against Russian forces and continuing military operations on Russian soil to prevent the establishment of buffer zones within Ukraine. The third point involves containing Russia through a strategic deterrent package that does not rely on nuclear weapons, deployed on Ukrainian territory. The fourth point emphasizes the joint protection of Ukraine's critical natural resources by the US and the EU, as well as the collaborative use of their economic potential. Lastly, for the post-war period, Zelensky proposes replacing some US troops stationed in Europe with Ukrainian soldiers. He has indicated that there are three additional components of the plan that will remain confidential and will only be disclosed to Ukraine's partners. Key allies, including Britain, France, Italy, and Germany, have reportedly been briefed on the plan. However, Zelensky is aware that his conditions for peace are increasingly at odds with the realities on the ground. He acknowledged the growing fatigue among the Ukrainian populace, noting that the concept of 'victory' has become a challenging notion for many. The ongoing conflict has taken a toll on national morale, exacerbated by a rising death toll, a controversial mobilization law, and relentless Russian assaults on Ukrainian territory. There is a prevailing belief that any potential peace agreement may require Ukraine to concede some territory in exchange for security guarantees. Nevertheless, Zelensky showed no inclination to compromise, insisting on the need to compel Russia to negotiate while firmly rejecting any notion of ceding Ukrainian land. However, given the heavy reliance on Western aid, the success of his 'victory plan' will hinge on the approval of the next US president. Following Zelensky's address, the Kremlin dismissed his proposal as an 'ephemeral peace plan', asserting that the only way to end the war is for Ukraine to recognize the futility of its current policies.
