A tragic train accident occurred in southern Denmark when a passenger train collided with a slurry tanker, causing the train to derail. The crash happened between the towns of Tinglev and Kliplev, which are close to the German border. The impact was so strong that one of the train carriages flipped onto its side, and the scene was chaotic, with passengers standing around the tracks and emergency workers rushing to help. According to officials, a 60-year-old woman lost her life in the accident, and 27 other people were injured. Five of those injured were seriously hurt, and two are still in critical condition at the hospital.

In total, 106 people were involved in the crash, including students from a school in Sønderborg, which was the train's destination. The Danish Prime Minister, Mette Frederiksen, expressed her sympathy for the victims and their families, saying she hoped everyone would receive the best possible help and support.

The train operator DSB announced that train services along the affected line would be suspended until further notice. The national rail agency Banedanmark reported that the collision happened at a level crossing, a place where the train tracks and a road meet. Local media said that at least two carriages were derailed in the crash. The police are still investigating the cause of the accident, and the community is waiting for answers. This tragic event has left many people in Denmark feeling shocked and saddened, and there is hope that those who were injured will recover soon.
