His journey is the focus of a new documentary called 'My Bigfoot Life', which follows Daniel as he travels from the Quantock Hills near his home all the way to Washington State in the United States, a place famous for Bigfoot sightings. Daniel's adventure began when he discovered a large footprint in the woods close to his house. Scientists ran DNA tests on the footprint and found traces of ancient ape, which made the search even more exciting for Daniel and his team of experts.

The documentary not only explores the hunt for Bigfoot but also shares Daniel's personal story, including his experiences living with autism. Daniel explained that being outdoors and searching for animals helped him feel calmer and more relaxed, especially when school felt overwhelming. He said that learning from experienced Bigfoot researchers was a pleasure, and he considered them his mentors. The film takes viewers to Olympic National Park in Washington, which is known as the Bigfoot capital of the world due to the high number of reported sightings. Even though there is no solid evidence like bones or clear photographs, Bigfoot has become a cultural icon, inspiring books, movies, and TV shows.

During the making of the documentary, Daniel spoke at a conference in Florida about his autism in front of 5,000 people, sharing how being in nature helped him cope with challenges. His grandparents, Adrian and Jill Roberts, played a big role in his journey and noticed a huge change in Daniel when he started exploring the outdoors. They said he became more confident, chatty, and enthusiastic. The process of making the film took two years, and Daniel described the experience of watching it in the cinema with his family and the production crew as 'awesome'. His grandparents said they were amazed by how much Daniel had grown and how his passion for exploring had helped him come out of his shell. Daniel hopes that his story will encourage others to spend more time outside and appreciate the benefits of being in nature.
