Judas Priest, the legendary heavy metal band from Birmingham, has released a charity single featuring the late Ozzy Osbourne to support Parkinson's disease charities. He sadly passed away in July at the age of 76, just weeks after a farewell concert that Judas Priest was unable to attend due to other commitments. To honor Ozzy and help raise money for Parkinson's research, Judas Priest decided to record a special version of Black Sabbath's classic song 'War Pigs. '

The new charity single includes Glenn Tipton, a member of Judas Priest who also has Parkinson's disease, playing guitar. Rob Halford and Ozzy Osbourne share the vocals, taking turns singing different lines of the song. Originally, the band planned to create a tribute video for Ozzy and Black Sabbath, but the idea grew into a full charity single after discussions with the band. The release of the song is meant to celebrate Ozzy's legacy and support those affected by Parkinson's disease. All profits from the single will be donated to the Glenn Tipton Parkinson's Foundation and Cure Parkinson's, two organizations dedicated to helping people with the condition.

Ozzy Osbourne's family, including his wife Sharon and children Aimee, Jack, and Kelly, paid tribute to him after his death, with a procession through the streets of his hometown. The farewell concert in July featured a star-studded lineup, including bands like Anthrax, Metallica, and Guns N' Roses, with Ozzy and the original members of Black Sabbath closing the show. Judas Priest's version of 'War Pigs' was released on Friday, and fans are encouraged to support the cause by purchasing the single. The band hopes their music will not only honor Ozzy Osbourne but also bring attention to Parkinson's disease and inspire others to help. They invite people to share their stories and support the charities working to find a cure.
