Humanoid robots are being developed to help change the way farming is done. This means they can be programmed to do many different tasks, such as picking apples, planting seeds, or pruning trees. Professor Cheein says that these robots have similar abilities to humans, so they can be used for a variety of jobs on the farm.

Currently, most farm robots are made for one purpose only. For example, one robot might be built just to harvest crops, while another might only be able to plant seeds. This can be expensive and not very flexible for farmers. The new humanoid robots, however, can be programmed to do many different things. Professor Cheein explains that once the programming is perfected, it can be copied and used on hundreds or even thousands of robots. This could make farming much more efficient and help farmers get more work done in less time.

Professor Cheein also believes that these robots are not meant to replace people, but to work alongside them. He says that robots and humans can share the same workspace and help each other. For this to happen, the robots will need to have social skills so they can work well with people. The goal is for robots to do the hard or repetitive jobs, while people focus on other important tasks. The project at Harper Adams University is still in the testing stage, but it could lead to big changes in the way farming is done in the future.
