This year, there will be more than 200 events, including concerts, storytelling, circus acts, and even outdoor movies.

The Fleadh Cheoil is an annual festival that started in 1951. It was created by Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann, a group that wants to keep Irish music and culture alive. Every year, the festival brings together musicians, dancers, and singers from all over Ireland and even from other countries. The main part of the festival is the music competition, which is sometimes called the Olympics of Irish traditional music. People of all ages compete, and it is a great way for young musicians to meet others and learn new skills. Sharon Shannon, a famous accordion player, will be one of the opening acts at Belfast City Hall. She remembers how important the Fleadh was to her when she was young and is excited to perform again.
