He mentioned that although he would not be growing crops on that land while the solar farm is operational, the income generated from it would help sustain other aspects of his farming business. He stated, 'This project is not a threat to food security; it is a safeguard. It will provide a safe, reliable income that allows us to invest in farming practices, modern equipment, and long-term sustainability. ' On the other hand, Tim Weller, a member of the Green Party and cabinet member for environment, culture, and wellbeing, expressed concerns about the number of energy projects affecting his parish. He noted that residents might feel overwhelmed by the number of energy developments in their area, saying, 'The people I represent can be forgiven for feeling they're single-handedly powering up Britain, and it's all just a bit too much. ' He described the area as being 'under siege' from energy infrastructure. As part of the agreement, the developer will contribute £12,000 annually to a community benefit fund for the duration of the solar farm's operation.
