On the other hand, some research suggests that eating too little salt can also be dangerous. There seems to be a 'sweet spot' for salt intake, where having too much or too little increases health risks. People react differently to salt depending on their age, health, and family history. Some experts say that lowering salt intake helps everyone, while others believe that only people who eat a lot of salt need to cut back. It is difficult to avoid salt completely because it is in so many foods. The best advice is to be aware of hidden salt in your diet and aim for a moderate amount, while also eating plenty of fruits and vegetables to help balance your sodium levels.
