Clarkson is well-known for his work on television, and his fans were concerned about his well-being. During his holiday in the Indian Ocean, Clarkson faced some troubling moments. He recounted how he had to 'take a moment to make sure my limbs were working properly' when he stood up. He struggled with swimming and found it difficult to go down stairs without assistance. Despite these challenges, he humorously noted that his holiday turned out to be quite relaxing, as he spent most of his time sitting in a chair, enjoying wine and cheese. However, upon returning home, Clarkson's health issues escalated. He woke up one Wednesday morning feeling unwell, with clamminess and chest tightness. Although he initially tried to ignore these symptoms, he later experienced 'pins and needles' in his left arm, which ultimately led him to the hospital. At John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, doctors conducted several tests, including an electrocardiogram (ECG), blood tests, and X-rays. They ruled out a heart attack but discovered that one of his arteries was completely blocked, and another was on the verge of becoming blocked. This revelation was alarming for Clarkson, who had always considered himself relatively healthy. After the doctors fitted a stent, a small tube that helps open blocked arteries, Clarkson felt a sense of relief. He expressed gratitude for the medical staff, saying, 'The next morning I went home, and here I am, two hours later, writing this and sort of thinking, 'Crikey, that was close'. ' Now, he finds himself pondering the simple things in life, like what water tastes like and whether celery can be made interesting. Clarkson has faced health challenges before; he previously had to quit smoking after contracting pneumonia while on holiday in Spain. Additionally, he recently left the popular TV show The Grand Tour, alongside his co-hosts Richard Hammond and James May.
