Daniel chose to film in his hometown of Birmingham because he wanted to support local talent and help the city's creative community grow. He believes that there are many talented people in Birmingham who deserve a chance to be part of big projects.

Daniel explained that he did not want to follow the usual path of going to more popular places to make movies, even if it meant more money or easier work. He wanted to show that great films can be made in Birmingham and that the city has a lot to offer. Even though his work has taken him around the world, he always returns to the Midlands to support his community. He believes that investing in the place where you come from is very important.
