Dr AS Bhatia, the chief of a local hospital, reported that the first five patients admitted to the hospital exhibited symptoms similar to food poisoning, such as vomiting and diarrhea. However, what was particularly concerning was that all of these patients suddenly lost consciousness. This unexpected turn of events has left the medical community puzzled and worried. The federal government has taken the matter seriously and has ordered a thorough investigation into the deaths. A special investigation team, consisting of police officers, pathologists, and other specialists, has been formed to look into the situation. They have already interviewed numerous residents to gather information about the events leading up to the deaths. The investigation is focusing on the possibility that contaminated food and water may have played a significant role in the tragedy. The deaths have primarily affected three related families, with six of the deceased children aged between seven and fifteen years. Among the second group of patients admitted on December 12, five individuals, including a one-year-old child, have shown signs of recovery. Dr Bhatia expressed relief at this development, calling it a 'ray of hope' for the community.
