A new documentary called 'Ozzy Osbourne: Coming Home' is set to give fans an inside look at the final chapter of the legendary rock star's life. The film, which was shot over three years, follows Ozzy and his wife Sharon as they work towards their dream of moving back to the UK. It also covers Ozzy's efforts to get healthy enough to perform at Black Sabbath's farewell concert in Birmingham, which took place in July. The documentary is described as 'intimate,' offering viewers a close look at the Osbourne family, including Sharon, their daughter Kelly, and their son Jack.

Originally, the project was supposed to be a series called 'Home to Roost,' but as Ozzy's health declined, it was turned into a one-hour film. The documentary will air on BBC One on Monday, 18 August at 9:00 pm, just under a month after Ozzy's death. He managed to make it on stage for one last performance at Villa Park before he passed away. The film includes touching family moments, humor, and reflections on Ozzy's life and career. Kelly Osbourne is quoted in the film saying, 'Iron man wasn't really made of iron,' highlighting the struggles her father faced with his health.

The BBC's Head of Commissioning for Documentaries, Clare Sillery, said it was an honor to film with Ozzy and his family. She hopes the documentary will bring comfort and joy to fans as they remember Ozzy's extraordinary life. The executive producers, Ben Wicks and Colin Barr, said it was a privilege to spend time with the Osbournes and to witness Ozzy's determination to return to the UK and perform one last time. They also noted that Ozzy was loved not just for his music, but for his sense of fun and honesty, and that his deep love for his family was clear throughout his final years. The film aims to celebrate Ozzy's life and the strong bond he shared with his family.
