The judges agreed with the tourist. They said that the holiday was not as promised because the family could not use the pool loungers. The court ruled that the tour operator should have made sure there were enough loungers for all guests and that the rules were followed. The judges ordered the company to pay the family a larger refund of €986. 70. This case highlights a common problem at many holiday resorts, where guests rush to reserve loungers early in the morning. Some companies are now offering guests the chance to pay extra to reserve a lounger, while in some places, people can be fined for saving a lounger and leaving it unused for hours.
