Five giant sculptures created by the artist Mr Doodle have been installed across London's West End, forming a new public art trail that is free for everyone to enjoy. Mr Doodle, whose real name is Sam Cox, is well-known internationally for his unique doodle style, which transforms everything from sketchbooks to entire buildings. The sculptures, each standing about 2 meters tall, are located in popular spots such as Piccadilly Circus, Leicester Square, and St James's Market. These installations will remain on display until 30 August, giving both locals and tourists plenty of time to explore the trail. Mr Doodle expressed his hope that visitors would enjoy spotting the sculptures, exploring the streets, and experiencing a bit of doodle magic during their summer outings.

Each sculpture is decorated with Mr Doodle's signature black-and-white doodles, accented with bright colors like orange and yellow. The designs are inspired by the surroundings, celebrating the West End's vibrant culture, including its theaters, cinemas, galleries, restaurants, and markets. Mr Doodle said that London is 'full of great stuff' and that his sculptures are meant to highlight the city's rich cultural scene. His playful artwork has gained him a large following around the world, with his doodles appearing on everything from canvases to entire buildings. The sculptures are not only visually striking but also interactive, as visitors can scan QR codes at each location to access a digital map of the trail and enter a prize draw.

The Doodle Discovery trail was organized by Art of London, an arts initiative created by the Heart of London Business Alliance. The group wanted to offer something free, fun, and easy for families and visitors to enjoy during the school summer holidays. The prize draw includes tickets to the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition and a free meal for four people. Mr Doodle himself was seen drawing on one of his sculptures in Leicester Square with a blue marker pen, and schoolchildren have participated by adding their own designs to murals. The art trail encourages people to engage with art in a playful way, making it accessible to everyone. It also provides an opportunity for families and friends to explore the city, discover new places, and enjoy creative activities together. The Doodle Discovery trail is a celebration of London's culture and creativity, inviting everyone to join in the fun.
