Over the years, engineers and builders had to solve many problems. Some of the towers were so heavy that the old ways of building would not work. For example, the Tower of the Virgin Mary is almost as tall as the main tower, and it was too heavy for the columns below. The engineers decided to use a new method: they built the tower with thin stone panels and put steel tendons inside to make the stone stronger. This way, the tower could be tall and light at the same time.

Modern technology has helped a lot in finishing the Sagrada Família. Engineers use computers to design the parts of the church and to check that everything is safe. They also use drones and artificial intelligence to look for cracks and problems in the stone. This is much faster than the old way, when people had to climb all over the church to check for damage.
