Tesla, the well-known electric vehicle company led by billionaire Elon Musk, has announced a major shift in its business strategy. For the first time, Tesla's annual revenue has dropped, falling by 3 percent in 2025. The company's profits also took a big hit, dropping by 61 percent in the last quarter of the year. This decline comes as Tesla moves away from focusing mainly on electric cars and puts more energy into developing artificial intelligence and robotics. One of the biggest changes is that Tesla will stop making its Model S and Model X cars. The factory in California that used to build these vehicles will now be used to produce Optimus, Tesla's humanoid robot.

This shift comes at a time when Tesla is facing more competition. Earlier this year, the Chinese company BYD became the world's largest electric vehicle maker, passing Tesla. Elon Musk has also been involved in politics, which has caused some controversy and upset some Tesla customers. Experts say it makes sense for Tesla to stop making the Model S and Model X, since not many people were buying them. Instead, Tesla will focus on more popular cars like the Model 3 and Model Y, and on new business areas.
