The excitement around SpaceX's IPO was not just because of rockets. Many investors were interested because they believed SpaceX was also an artificial intelligence company. Earlier this year, SpaceX started working with Musk's AI company, xAI, and began leasing data center space to other tech companies. This made people think SpaceX would be a big player in the AI world. As a result, the share price kept rising for several days, and at one point, SpaceX was worth more than huge companies like Amazon and Microsoft.

However, the excitement did not last. The share price dropped when SpaceX announced it was buying Cursor, a company that makes AI tools for writing computer code. The price went up again when SpaceX was added to the FTSE Russell index, but then fell after Starlink, SpaceX's satellite internet service, cut prices in Memphis, Tennessee. By the end of the first month, SpaceX shares were selling for about $145, which is 18 percent less than the high on the first day and 35 percent less than the highest price so far. People who bought shares in the first few days lost money, and some experts think the price could fall even more. Still, others believe SpaceX could become the most valuable company ever if it meets its goals. Investors are now waiting for SpaceX's first earnings report, which will show how much money the company is making and could cause the share price to change again.
