Maisie Peters攜新專輯《Florescence》和全新音樂風格綻放光彩
Maisie Peters is a talented singer-songwriter from Sussex who has been performing since she was a teenager. Known for her wavy blonde bob and unique style, Maisie has always stood out, whether she’s wearing a high-neck jumper or sparkling socks. In August 2024, she opened for Taylor Swift, and her socks had 'MP3' on them, which fans guessed was a hint about her next album. Now, almost two years later, Maisie’s new album 'Florescence' has finally been released, and she says it’s been a long time coming. Maisie is excited for her fans to hear the new songs and hopes they become a part of their lives, not just hers.
Maisie’s music career has been impressive. She’s supported big names like Coldplay and Ed Sheeran, and she signed to Ed Sheeran’s label when she was just 21. Her last album, 'The Good Witch', came out in June 2023 and went straight to number one in the UK. That album was all about the ups and downs of love and heartbreak in her early twenties, and her fans loved it. Now, at 25, Maisie says 'Florescence' is the next step in her journey. She feels more healed and grown up, and she thinks her new music shows how much she’s changed as a person and as an artist.
Maisie wants her fans to know that 'Florescence' will sound different from her earlier work. She says the album has a new tone and style, but it still tells the same kinds of stories, just from a different point of view. For example, her older song 'History of Man' was about heartbreak, but the new album ends with a calm and peaceful song called 'Nothing Like Being In Love'. Maisie admits that making this album wasn’t always easy. She’s had to deal with insecurities, anxiety, and even some vocal problems. She remembers getting upset during a soundcheck when she was supporting Noah Kahan in 2024. But things have improved, and Maisie has found inspiration by working with other artists. She collaborated with Julia Michaels, who wrote the song 'Kingmaker', and Marcus Mumford from Mumford & Sons, who sings on 'If You Let Me'. Maisie also worked with Amelia Dimoldenberg, who directed the trailer for the album and the video for 'My Regards'. The video was inspired by the British teen film 'Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging', and fans loved seeing the main actress Georgia Groome in it. Maisie says filming the video was a wild experience, especially when she had to walk around in a giant daisy costume in the rain. Maisie is planning a big show at the O2 in London next year, and she’s a bit nervous but hopes her fans will come. She’s excited for everyone to hear 'Florescence', which is out now.
