The police stated that there was not enough evidence to realistically expect a conviction, so no further action would be taken against Bob Vylan.

The band responded to the news by expressing relief and hope. They said the investigation should never have happened and that their chant was meant to show solidarity with the Palestinian people, not to incite hate. Bob Vylan has faced many challenges since the performance, including cancelled shows and revoked visas, which forced them to cancel a US tour. Despite these setbacks, the band feels they have gained more support and camaraderie. Some groups remain unhappy with the police decision, arguing it sends the wrong message. Bob Vylan hopes their experience will encourage others to speak up for causes they believe in, even when facing criticism.
