One student, Farhan Hasan, said he had just finished an exam and left the building when he saw the plane crash. He lost his best friend in the accident. Hospitals in the area were overwhelmed with injured people, most of whom were between 10 and 15 years old and suffered burns from the jet fuel. Doctors said more than 50 people were taken to the hospital with serious burns, and many were in critical condition.

Plane crashes are not common in Bangladesh. The last major crash in the country happened in 1984, when a passenger plane crashed near the airport in Dhaka, killing everyone on board. There have been a few other incidents, but they are rare. After this recent crash, the government set up an investigation committee to find out what caused the accident. They also opened an emergency hotline to help families affected by the tragedy.
