'You need to remember when you're driving those cars sometimes you're hitting 180mph. I was moving, it was fire,' he said. 'Then on top of that, you got to act within a movie, you've still got to try and look cute.

Damson received guidance from Sir Lewis Hamilton, a current F1 driver and one of the film's producers. Lewis not only helped Damson with his driving skills but also brought a sense of authenticity to the movie. Damson said, 'When it comes to driving he really encouraged me. He brought that energy on set that just reminded us of how authentic this movie is and that was always our goal - to make the most authentic racing movie of all time. ' Damson also mentioned that Lewis is like a brother to him, and it was exciting to see him try acting in the film.

Before this big Hollywood role, Damson was best known for his breakout performance in the 2017 US crime drama Snowfall. Although the show did not receive much attention from mainstream awards, Damson was recognized by organizations like BET, NWACP, and Mobo, which celebrate black artists. He said, 'It's funny that every single award that the culture could give me, I won. We cleaned up there.

Damson talked about the tough journey to Hollywood and how his mother supported him during times of rejection. She would give him advice and help him stay positive. Damson said her words helped him believe in himself and get ready for success when it finally came.

A funny and slightly embarrassing moment happened during filming when Damson accidentally spit on Brad Pitt during a scene. He confessed this during an interview on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, and people have been teasing him about it ever since. Damson explained, 'People are like: Bro you phlegmed on Brad Pitt? I'm like: I never phlegmed. ' He insisted it was just a tiny speck, but he still feels awkward about it because it was Brad Pitt.

The movie has received mostly positive reviews, and Damson is excited about this new chapter in his career.
