Meanwhile, South Korea is positioning itself as a regional AI hub, thanks to its strong semiconductor and manufacturing industries. The government plans to build its own computing infrastructure, known as 'sovereign AI,' powered by more than 50,000 Nvidia chips. Nvidia relies on partners like Samsung, SK Hynix, and TSMC for chip production, and these supply chains are crucial for its success. While some experts worry about the risks of selling advanced chips to China, Chinese companies like Huawei and Alibaba are developing their own alternatives. Nvidia continues to respect China's capabilities and hopes for policies that allow American technology to be a global standard. The company's share price has been boosted by new deals with organizations like the US Department of Energy, Nokia, Uber, and Stellantis, as well as hopes for renewed sales in China.
