After a break, WOMAD has announced its return in 2026 with a new location. The festival will move to Neston Park Estate, near Corsham, marking the first time this estate has hosted such an event. The owners, Sir James and Lady Venetia Fuller, expressed their excitement about welcoming the WOMAD community to their estate. Peter Gabriel, the musician who co-founded WOMAD, said the new site immediately felt like a warm and inviting home for the festival. He mentioned that while the festival was on hiatus, the team worked hard to improve the event, carefully considering feedback from attendees and finding many great suggestions to make WOMAD even better.

WOMAD typically attracts around 40,000 visitors each year, and organizers are looking forward to a 'truly independent' festival with an 'exciting future. ' The festival director, Chris Smith, stated that WOMAD's commitment to discovering and sharing the richness of global culture is stronger than ever. He emphasized that the team is building on the festival's incredible legacy with a clear vision for the next forty years. The 2026 WOMAD Festival will be held from July 23 to July 26, and tickets will go on sale on November 13. Visitors can expect to see large, colorful signs spelling out WOMAD, children playing, and flags waving in the wind. The festival promises to be a vibrant celebration of music, arts, and dance, and many people are looking forward to experiencing WOMAD at its new home.
