' The dress was created by Toyin Lawan of Tiannah's Empire, who said she wanted to start a trend where people wear clothes that represent their businesses. Queen Mercy disagreed, saying her intention was to market her business in a creative way.

Another standout look came from Ghanaian fashion star Nana Akua Addo, who wore a silver dress inspired by the Cologne Cathedral in Germany. The dress was highly structured, with hand-painted details that looked like cathedral windows and extensions that mimicked the building's shape. Nana's designer, Abasswoman, said the dress took months to make and was only finished two days before the event. The goal was to capture the grandeur and craftsmanship of the famous cathedral. Nigerian actress Uche Montana also made a statement with her red-and-gold-feathered dress, which she said represented 'fire' and 'the rising of the phoenix. Linda Ejiofor made history by becoming the first person to win both Best Lead Actress for 'The Serpent's Gift' and Best Supporting Actress for 'The Herd' at the same AMVCA. She thanked her family, especially her mother, for helping her practice her lines and perfect her performance.

'My Father's Shadow' was another big winner, taking home awards for Best Movie, Best Director, and Best Writing. The film, which explores themes of love, estrangement, and loss between fathers and children, was also the first Nigerian movie to be officially selected for the Cannes Film Festival. Other notable winners included Uzor Arukwe for Best Lead Actor and industry veterans Sola Sobowale and Kanayo O. Kanayo, who received Lifetime Achievement Awards.

Fashion was a major highlight of the night, with stars like Kanayo O. Kanayo wearing a black and white suit that reflected his on-screen persona, and Stan Nze showcasing Igbo culture with a traditional outfit and engraved hand fan. Tobi Bakre brought Yoruba royalty to the red carpet in a traditional agbada and brass staff, while Monica Friday wore a purple gown embroidered with flags from seven countries as a call for peace. Osas Ighodaro, known for her stunning red carpet looks, wore a silver corset dress covered in stones and crystals.
