Al-Shifa hospital, along with other medical centers in northern Gaza, struggled to provide care for patients as the Israeli offensive continued. The health ministry spokesman from inside Al-Shifa described the situation as terrifying for medical staff and civilians. The United States, through National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan, voiced concerns about the dangers of combat occurring in hospitals.

A baby boy, Mosab Subeih, was severely injured by an Israeli missile and brought to the Indonesian Hospital, which was also facing dire conditions. The Palestinian Red Crescent highlighted the struggles faced by medical staff at Al-Quds hospital, which had been isolated for days without adequate supplies.

As the humanitarian crisis in Gaza worsened, evacuations to Egypt began for foreigners, dual nationals, and injured Palestinians. The conflict had resulted in a significant number of casualties, with Palestinian officials reporting thousands of deaths, including many children. Aid delivery became increasingly challenging, with some countries resorting to air-dropping supplies.

The Israeli military claimed to have targeted militant positions in Gaza, while Hamas reported damaging Israeli military targets. The World Health Organisation expressed grave concern for the safety of those trapped in the conflict zone. Meanwhile, large pro-Palestinian demonstrations took place in London and Brussels, calling attention to the plight of the people in Gaza.
