Upon arriving at the airport, the family was informed by a check-in staff member that their flight had been cancelled. Annalise recounted how both Charlie and Maicie burst into tears upon hearing the news, unable to comprehend why they couldn't go to Disneyland. Annalise described the period of Charlie's treatment as a rough time for the entire family, and they had been looking forward to the trip as a much-needed break. The family was particularly excited about a breakfast session where they would have met their favorite Disney characters. Annalise said that the situation was made worse by the fact that they were one of only two families who couldn't catch replacement flights from Bristol and Gatwick. She described it as breaking Charlie's heart twice, as they initially thought they might still be able to go, only to be disappointed again. Now, the children are at home, feeling dejected and saying they should be in Disney. Annalise praised the efforts of the Make a Wish volunteers, who did everything they could to find alternative flights. She mentioned that her family is now at the top of the priority list for another trip. Easyjet acknowledged the family's disappointment and stated that they are investigating the incident.
