His bike is equipped with speakers and DJ decks, allowing him to play music as he cycles through the city. Dom started this creative way of DJing during the Covid lockdowns, and his energetic rides quickly became popular on social media. Since then, he has taken his musical bike rides to many cities across Europe, including places in Germany, Australia, and Switzerland.

This year, the event in Bournemouth has caught the attention of the local police. Dorset Police have decided to set a specific route for the ride, after hearing concerns from residents about possible disruptions. The police want to make sure that the event does not cause too much trouble for people living in the area, especially since Bournemouth is expecting a lot of visitors this weekend. The route will take riders from Kings Park Drive, along Littledown Avenue, Harewood Avenue, Christchurch Road, Seabourne Road, Southbourne Overcliff Drive, Southbourne Coast Road, and Dalmeny Road. The ride will end near Boscombe Pier, after traveling along the seafront.

Chief Inspector Darren Harris explained that the police are using their powers under the Public Order Act to keep the event safe and minimize disruption. He said their main goal is to make sure everyone, including event-goers, local residents, and other visitors, can enjoy their weekend safely. The local council also warned that there could still be some delays for drivers, so people should allow extra time for their journeys. Last year, the event attracted hundreds of fans, many of whom danced on the beach after the ride. Dom Whiting said that these communal rides are special because they bring people together through music and cycling. The police and council hope that this year’s event will be safe and enjoyable for everyone involved.
