Instead of consuming traditional alcoholic beverages, participants will sample low-alcohol or alcohol-free drinks as they run from one venue to another. This is the second year that Ravers2Runners has hosted this event, and it has gained a lot of interest from the community. nnJo Bryan-Smith, the founder of Ravers2Runners, expressed her enthusiasm for the event, stating, 'We want to promote independent breweries and drink manufacturers in Bristol who are producing really good-tasting low-alcohol drinks. ' She noted that there has been a significant amount of curiosity surrounding the event, and she believes it has the potential to grow and expand to other cities and even internationally. Jo emphasized that the Dry Run is not just about running; it is also about spreading an important message regarding responsible drinking and promoting a more sustainable way to socialize. nnRavers2Runners was established five years ago with the goal of allowing party enthusiasts to engage in fun, music-oriented runs that help them become healthier and fitter. The group regularly hosts events at various festivals, attracting around 500 festival-goers who participate in their activities. The Dry Run will kick off at the Lost Horizon Arts Centre at 11:00 GMT, and all proceeds from the event will be donated to Caring for Bristol, a charity dedicated to supporting those in need. This initiative not only encourages physical activity but also fosters a sense of community and support for important social causes.
