當地壁畫家擊敗2000名競爭者，榮獲藝術界女性最高獎項！

Ellie Johnson, who is known as Mrs Murals, is a talented mural artist from Devon. She has made a name for herself by painting beautiful and meaningful murals in public spaces. Some of her most notable works include transforming subways in Plympton and decorating a primary school in Sherford. One of her murals features a blue butterfly above green grass, and she is often seen wearing a purple jumpsuit with her hair in a bun while working on her art.

Recently, Ellie received the Women in Arts, Media and Culture Award at The West Country Women's Awards, which was held at the Crowne Plaza in Plymouth. This award is a big achievement because she was chosen from more than 2,000 nominees across the South West. The judges were impressed by her community-focused artwork and the strong support she has from local people. Judge Trish Caller said that it was very difficult to choose the finalists because the standard was so high, but Ellie's application stood out because of the impact her art has had on the community.

Ellie has worked on many projects, including painting murals in Derriford Hospital's Children's Theatres and in schools throughout south Devon. She said that running a successful business in the arts can be challenging, but she is grateful for the support she receives from her community. She also thanked the team at The West Country Women's Awards for recognizing her work among so many talented finalists. As a winner, Ellie has been invited to Westminster for a tour of the Houses of Parliament in February, which is a great honor. Her story shows how art can bring people together and make a positive difference in the community.
