烏克蘭報告今年最大規模的俄羅斯砲擊，24小時內100多個地方遭到攻擊

Ukraine reported on Wednesday that Russia has launched the most extensive shelling this year, attacking over 100 settlements in the last 24 hours. Since its invasion in February 2022, Russia has fired millions of shells on cities, towns, and villages, reducing several to rubble. 'Over the last 24 hours, the enemy shelled 118 settlements in 10 regions,' stated Ukrainian Interior Minister Igor Klymenko on social media. He added that this is the highest number of attacks since the start of the year.

In addition to these attacks, Russia targeted an oil refinery in Kremenchuk, a central industrial city in Ukraine. Although there were no casualties, it took nearly 100 firefighters several hours to extinguish the resulting fire. There is a growing concern that Russia will escalate its attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure as winter approaches, similar to last year's actions.

Casualties have been reported due to the overnight shelling in the northeastern Kharkiv region and the southern Kherson region. A Russian drone attack on the southern city of Nikopol resulted in the death of a 59-year-old woman and injuries to four others. A rocket strike in the Zaporizhzhia region also claimed a life. Both Kyiv and Moscow reported shooting down enemy drones overnight. Russia has significantly increased its domestic arms production and received ammunition supplies from its foreign partners. According to a South Korean lawmaker, North Korea has supplied Russia with over one million artillery rounds. Meanwhile, Western countries have provided billions of dollars of military aid to Kyiv to help defend against Russian attacks.
