The teachers, embracing this creative idea, decided to organize a wedding that mirrored a traditional human ceremony as closely as possible. They erected a red inflatable arch at the school gate, adorned with Chinese characters that read, 'Congratulations to Mr Fugui and Ms Laifu for tying the knot'. The school was decorated in traditional Chinese style, adding to the authenticity of the event. Colourful posters were placed on both sides of the arch, one side featuring stick drawings of two rabbits, while the other side proudly displayed the names of the bride and groom. In typical Chinese weddings, the groom's family sends a motorcade to collect the bride. This tradition was recreated for the rabbit wedding, with six students riding miniature vehicles in a parade, watched by their peers. The 'bride' was collected from the boot of a teacher's car, and Laifu's cage was covered with a red veil to enhance the celebratory atmosphere. The school also created two red-covered marriage certificates for the pets, and the children made 'cash gifts' of banknotes they had drawn. The students were filmed clinking glasses and enjoying the wedding banquet. At the end of the ceremony, each child was given a small bag of happiness sweets, a tradition observed at human weddings. The video of the wedding has been viewed 9 million times on Douyin alone, charming and amusing online observers. One person commented, 'It is so interesting.
