A replica of the Doctor Who Tardis console is now being displayed at the Peterborough Museum and Art Gallery as part of the Adventures in Time and Space exhibition. This wooden console, which looks just like the one used by Tom Baker, the fourth Doctor in the BBC series, is set up in the center of the museum with a dramatic purple and blue background. The exhibition has been running since May and has attracted many visitors, with the Tardis console being one of the main highlights. The console will be available for the public to see for six weeks, until 2 November, along with other Doctor Who memorabilia.

Aimi Rowe, the display programmer at the museum, explained that the exhibition has been extremely popular, and the curator, Derek Handley, wanted to make sure visitors could see as many Doctor Who monsters as possible. To make the Tardis console, the engineering department at Anglia Ruskin University in Peterborough used the original design blueprints from the show. This attention to detail has made the replica look very authentic, and fans of the series will recognize it immediately. The exhibition also features costumes, props, and models of famous Doctor Who monsters, making it a must-see for fans of the show.

On 22 July, the exhibition introduced two new characters: Lord Kiv, a green, slug-like villain from season 23, and a Quark, a robot from season six. These additions have made the exhibition even more exciting. Sophie Aldred, who played Ace, the companion to the seventh Doctor, Sylvester McCoy, gave a special talk at the unveiling of the Tardis console. The museum has also extended its opening hours to include Sundays, so more people can visit. The exhibition is a great opportunity for Doctor Who fans and families to experience the magic of the show up close, see rare items, and learn more about the history of this iconic British series.
