St Helier is about to get a colorful makeover thanks to a new art installation called Bubbletecture. ArtHouse Jersey, a local charity, is bringing this exciting event to the heart of the city. The artwork will feature huge, iridescent bubbles, some as tall as eight meters, stacked together to create a dazzling display. The installation will be set up at the International Finance Centre on the Esplanade and will be open to the public from August 28 to September 14. The best part is that it is completely free for everyone to visit.

Bubbletecture is the creation of Atelier Sisu, a team of artists from Sydney, Australia. Their design uses sunlight to create beautiful rainbow reflections on the ground, making the bubbles look even more magical. The installation will also have a special soundtrack to go along with the visual experience. According to Tom Dingle, the director of ArtHouse Jersey, the goal of Bubbletecture is to bring joy, wonder, and a sense of togetherness to the community. He believes that the artwork is easy for anyone to enjoy, no matter their age or background.

The event will run every day from 9:30 in the morning until 9:30 at night, with special lighting effects that make the bubbles glow after dark. On weekends, there will be extra activities, including cultural and wellbeing events, to make the experience even more enjoyable. The project is a partnership between ArtHouse Jersey, the Jersey Development Company, and sponsor Butterfield. Lee Henry, the CEO of the Jersey Development Company, said that Bubbletecture is more than just an art piece. He believes it brings creative energy to the city and encourages people to see familiar places in a new way. Even though the installation is temporary, it shows a commitment to making St Helier a more vibrant and culturally rich place. Everyone is invited to come and experience the magic of Bubbletecture.
