The Roundhay Festival is a brand new music event taking place at Roundhay Park in Leeds. This large park, which is one of the biggest city parks in Europe, will welcome almost 70,000 music fans for two days of concerts. The festival will feature some big names in music, including Pitbull and Lewis Capaldi as the main headliners. Pitbull, known for his energetic performances and signature sunglasses, will take the stage on Friday. He will be joined by other popular artists such as Jason Derulo, Tinie Tempah, Lil Jon, Los Tucanes De Tijuana, and Jazzie Martian. On Saturday, Lewis Capaldi, who is famous for his emotional songs and guitar playing, will headline the show. The Saturday line-up also includes Conan Grey, Jessie Murph, Jacob Alon, Kerr Mercer, Nieve Ella, Ber, and Maya Lane. On Sunday, the Hallé Orchestra will perform a selection of famous movie music and classic favorites, followed by an afterparty with DJ Yoda.

To make sure the festival runs smoothly, several roads around Roundhay Park will be closed from Friday morning until early Monday. These include Princes Avenue, Street Lane, Park Lane, Park View Crescent, Mansion Lane, Lidgett Park Road, Old Park Road, Park Avenue, West Avenue, and Wetherby Road. There will be a Stop & Go system on Park View Crescent at the junction with Park Lane to help manage traffic. Some vehicles, like taxis and accessible vehicles, will still be allowed in certain areas. People traveling to Roundhay School on Friday will also be able to use Old Park Road.

Festival gates will open at 1:00 pm on Friday and Saturday, and at 2:00 pm on Sunday. The last entry is at 8:30 pm on Friday and Saturday, and 7:30 pm on Sunday. The main performances are expected to finish around 10:30 pm each night. Once you enter, you cannot leave and come back in. Attendees are not allowed to bring their own seats or chairs, except for the All Things Orchestral Show, where folding chairs or blankets are permitted. Only water in containers up to 500ml and baby food not in glass containers can be brought in. No other food or drink is allowed, but free drinking water will be available inside the park. Bags must be no larger than A4 size, and banners are allowed up to A1 size as long as they are made from bendable materials and not attached to flag poles.

For travel, a shuttle bus will run every 20 minutes from the city center to Roundhay Park, starting at 11:00 am and running until 8:00 pm. The bus will pick up passengers on Sovereign Street and drop them off at Leeds Railway Station after the festival. The last bus will leave the park at about 12:30 am. Parking is available at Fearnville Park and Connaught Fields, with Blue Badge parking on Mansion Lane. There are also taxi pick-up and drop-off points, as well as bike racks for cyclists. The weather forecast for the weekend is mostly dry with sunny intervals and a moderate breeze. Temperatures are expected to be in the low 20s, with a small chance of light showers on Sunday morning. With a great line-up and good weather, the Roundhay Festival promises to be an exciting event for music lovers in Leeds.
