Ken Harwood, a beloved cast member of the popular TV show Gogglebox, has passed away after a short illness. Ken and his wife Anne were well-known faces on the show, appearing together from series 15 to 19. The couple became favorites among viewers for their warm personalities and the way they shared their thoughts while watching television in their cozy living room. Ken, with his short white hair and friendly smile, often wore a pale pink shirt, while Anne, with her blonde bob and blue eyes, wore a floral patterned top. Their living room always had a coffee table with a remote control and two colorful cups, making their scenes feel homely and inviting.

Ken was from Consett, a town in County Durham. He and Anne had been married for 55 years, showing a strong and loving partnership. Together, they raised two sons, Simon and Ross, and welcomed a daughter-in-law, Elle, into their family. Ken was also a proud grandfather to Freya and Tristram. Before his time on television, Ken worked as a postmaster for three decades, serving his community with dedication. Later, he became a local councillor, continuing to help people in his area until he retired in 2013.

The production company behind Gogglebox, Studio Lambert, announced that Ken died last week at the age of 77. They expressed their sadness and said Ken would be dearly missed by his family and everyone who knew him. To honor his memory, a special tribute to Ken will be shown at the end of the next Gogglebox episode on Channel 4.
