Sion Monty, a bodybuilder and gym owner from Porthmadog, Wales, was surprised and upset when he discovered that a health company had used his personal transformation photos without his permission. Sion began his fitness journey in 2013 after someone made a rude comment about his weight. This motivated him to join a gym, and he quickly fell in love with fitness. Over time, he became a certified nutritionist, opened his own gym, and started helping others achieve their health goals. However, after the birth of his son in 2018, Sion found himself gaining weight again, putting on about five stone, or 31 kilograms. He realized he needed to make a change, especially because he wanted to set a good example for his son.

Sion decided to get back in shape and documented his progress on social media. He shared his journey on Instagram and YouTube, where he gained a large following of 240,000 people. Sion posted before-and-after photos to show how he went from 98 kilograms to 80 kilograms. His story inspired many people who were also trying to improve their health. But then, Sion was shocked to see his photos being used by Longevity Wellness Clinic, a company that sells expensive wellness programs. The company claimed that one of their trainers had worked with Sion, which was not true. Sion had never met or worked with anyone from the clinic.

When Sion contacted the company, they first insisted that their trainer had helped him. Sion was frustrated because his hard work and personal story were being used to sell something he had nothing to do with. He felt that this took away from the credibility of his journey. After the BBC reached out to Longevity Wellness Clinic, the company apologized and removed the photos from their website. They also said that the trainer who provided the images had lost their job. Sion hopes that his experience will remind companies to respect people's stories and not use their images without permission. He also wants others to know that real change comes from hard work and honesty, not from shortcuts or false claims.
